Purpose, Legal Basis, Categories of Recipients, Duration of Data Processing
Purpose: To represent the company, to provide services and/or sell products, and to communicate via the Internet.
The purpose of the data processing on this website is to provide information about our company’s products and services and to allow users to be able to contact our in-house contact persons in a targeted manner.
In addition, we process personal data according to the following legal bases:
- Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR for the processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
- Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data for the fulfilment of a contract with the data subject as well as for the implementation of corresponding pre-contractual measures.
- Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data in order to fulfil a legal obligation which we are subject to in accordance with any applicable law of the EU or in accordance with any applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is fully or partially applicable.
- Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data in order to protect our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties, unless the fundamental freedoms, fundamental rights and interests of the data subject outweigh these legitimate interests. Legitimate interests are, in particular, our business interest in the ability to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with further legal provisions.
To this end, we use companies obligated to confidentiality and data protection in the provision of our services. The transfer of data to authorities only takes place in the case of priority legal regulations.
When you visit the website, a connection is made with your browser. The following information collected through this connection will be stored as temporary system files and automatically recorded: your device's IP address, the date and time of access, the name and URL of the files retrieved, the website from which you accessed or from where you arrived at our site (referrer URL), the browser used and, if applicable, your device’s operating system and the name of your service provider.
The aforementioned data are processed by us for the purpose of the setup of a smooth connection and system security. The resulting connection data is automatically deleted, usually after a maximum of seven days. If the website is misused, log data whose retention is required for further evidence will not be removed until the incident is resolved.
Applications by email or post
If you apply to us in response to a job advertisement, we will collect your personal data, such as first name, surname, address, telephone number, email address, attachments (cover letter, CV, references, photo) and store it for the duration of the selection process.
The legal basis for processing pre-contractual measures is Art. 6 I (b) GDPR.
Your data will only be used by authorised personnel in the Human Resources department or by any of the staff members involved in the selection process for the purposes of carrying out the selection process. Your data will not be shared with third parties.
If the specific job you are applying for has already been awarded elsewhere, but you are qualified for a subsequent role or to work in an subsidiary company based on your profile, we will seek your explicit consent before the further storage of or forwarding of the application takes place, except where you have already consented to such storage or forwarding in your application.
If you submit an unsolicited application using our general contact email address, the content of your application email may be viewed by unauthorised personnel. It is a requirement that the application documents are forwarded unopened immediately to the Human Resources department and the email is deleted. If you wish to avoid this, please contact us by telephone before submitting your unsolicited application, so that you can be given the contact details of the correct contact person.
Data will be erased, at your request, unless statutory storage periods apply. In these cases, data will be blocked rather than erased. Incidentally, application documents will be destroyed after the end of the selection process following a period of 6 months, unless you have expressly agreed for your application data to be stored for future tenders.
You are entitled to request information about the data stored by us and to request the correction of data, if it is incorrect, or the erasure of data, in cases where data storage is unauthorised. You also have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority (see right of appeal point).
Your Right to Information, Correction, Deletion, Objection and Data Portability
You can exercise your right to information, correction and deletion of data at any time. Just contact us in the ways described above. If you request data deletion, but we are still legally obliged to keep the data, access to your data will be restricted (blocked). The same applies to an objection. You can exercise your right to data portability, as far as possible given our technical capabilities and those of the receiver.
Right to Appeal
You have the option to file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time.
