Climb the slide – get set - go…

The time finally arrived this morning - for the opening of the playground. It wasn’t just the little ones that were excited as they stormed the new area, the adults put everything through its paces too. We wish all our day nursery children lots of fun and hours of adventure in their playground.


From 0 to 100,000,000 in 16 years

We recently produced our 100 millionth pushfeed as part of a delivery to the EDEKA-Markt Röthemeier store in Minden Kutenhausen. We took it upon ourselves to personally present a symbolic anniversary pushfeed to Horst Röthemeier (owner of EDEKA-Markt Röthemeier) und Luise Gosewehr (product range manager at EDEKA-Markt Röthemeier).

There are now more than 100 million POS-T pushfeeds in use in specialist shops, supermarkets and filling stations worldwide. If we take a shelf width of one metre and an average number of ten pushfeeds installed, the length would stretch from our Bad Salzuflen base as far as Japan.


‘Little POS’ – beacon of light in Lippe

The latest print edition of ‘Lippe Wissen & Wirtschaft’ is now available. Regional and internal initiatives to reconcile family and work are of key concern to our own employees, but also in terms of securing key workers. Oliver Vosshenrich, Managing Director of POS TUNING Udo Vosshenrich GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Salzuflen, talks in an interview about establishing an in-house daycare nursery, false fire alarms and the honourable businessman. The interview was conducted by Christina Flöter (IHK).

APAS is one of the biggest trade fairs for supermarkets. Supermarket chains from Brazil and throughout the world have been meeting here since 1984 to network and discuss the latest practises in the sector. This year is the 31st time the APAS trade fair has been held, and the focus is on benefits for the consumers.

Our partner PUSHER POP (subsidiary in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile) ensures a positive shopper experience in South America’s local retail business. We were represented with a shared stand at the APAS trade fair in São Paulo. We would like to thank all our visitors and interested parties for the inspirational discussions held at our stand.


My Job OWL 2015

We are always on the lookout for new talent and so this year we again attended My Job OWL 2015. Our exhibition stand this year shows some photos of our employees who are bringing in a breath of fresh air. We were delighted to see so many visitors and interested parties at our stand B15.3 in hall 20 of the Bad Salzuflen exhibition centre.

Future and opportunities for SMEs in OWL

Yesterday evening, we welcomed the Lippe district Small and Medium-Sized Business Association. Among the guests was the CDU mayoral candidate Volker Heuwinkel. We would like to thank the participants for an interesting evening and the lively exchange during the podium discussion on "Future and opportunities for small and medium enterprises in OWL" and we look forward to meeting again.


Sweet appearance at ProSweets 2015

ProSweets took place in Cologne at the beginning of February, simultaneously with ISM. Our exhibition stand was a lively meeting point for the international sweets industry. Our colleagues on the stand welcomed retailers and sweets manufactures from all over Europe and beyond. Interested parties from Mexico, India, Israel, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Spain and South Africa demonstrated great interest in the POS TUNING pushfeed solutions, the POS TUNING Systemtray, the VARUS gliding system and the e-pusher. We look forward to many project enquiries and would like to thank all our visitors for the friendly discussions at our stand.

'Cool' major contract for POS TUNING

POS TUNING has again received a major contract from the British supermarket chain TESCO. Following a year of intensive cooperation with Tesco, POS TUNING is equipping the freezer department of around 500 supermarkets with POS-T Compartment Pushers for glass door frozen food cabinets. The first roll-out was in February 2015. Tesco stores have frozen food departments with up to 48 glass doors. This initial contract is to equip around 500,000 storing positions running along approximately 125,000 metres of shelves. Frozen products and ice-cream will be ‘pushed’. The proportion of frozen products continues to rise, in particular with the trend towards convenience. The high costs of a cooling section present a particular problem in terms of sales productivity per unit. The feedback from the store staff and the customers, along with the positive development in the test stores, determined Tesco’s decision. This is POS TUNING’s second major contract for Tesco. At the beginning of 2014, POS TUNING equipped the entertainment department (DVDs, CDs and PC games) in more than 900 stores (supermarkets) with pushfeed systems. Tesco is Great Britain’s largest retail chain, and the third largest in the world after (USA) and Carrefour (France) and ahead of Metro (Deutschland). The POS-T Compartment Pusher 120 received the Anuga Top Innovation award in 2011 and in 2013 took Bronze in the Top Produkt Handel 2013 contest.

IGD 2014 in London

Vor zwei Wochen waren wir in London und haben an der größten Veranstaltung ihrer Art in Europa teilgenommen - dem "Category Management und Shopper Marketing Summit" des IGD. Hier trafen sich führende Einzelhändler und Hersteller, um die gemeinsame Nutzung ihrer neuesten Erkenntnisse und Fallbeispiele zu diskutieren, innovative Lösungen zu erforschen und gemeinsam zu planen wie man diese im Einzelhandel umsetzen kann. Es gab viel positives Feedback für unseren Stand und die von uns präsentierten Lösungen. Wir haben festgestellt, dass unser Bekanntheitsgrad in Großbritannien spürbar gestiegen ist und freuen uns über das große Interesse, sowie den regen Austausch mit dem internationalen Publikum aus ganz Europa. Shopper Marketing Kongress 2014
