As a family company, social commitment is close to our heart. We focus our attention in particular on regional projects which we support and commit to in a number of ways. Take a glimpse at our activities here.
Did you know that 20% of all food is destroyed, even though it is still perfectly fit for consumption? There are also a lot of people in Ostwestfalen who have fallen into financial difficulty because they have lost their job, or as the result of illness, divorce, low interest rates or integration problems. Tafel helps these people. At POS TUNING, we often need ‘real goods’ to develop and test our products. In the past, unfortunately a lot of food products were gathered which then had to be disposed of. We now work with Bad Salzufler Tafel. The food products are passed on as soon as we no longer need them, and thus support a good cause.

Since 2010, we have been working with ‘Studienfonds OWL’ to grant bursaries to the best graduates from Bad Salzuflen’s two high schools for them to study at a university or technical college in our region. This commitment sends out a signal to Bad Salzuflen and is designed to encourage young people from the town in a targeted way. For us as a company, it is important that young people here in Ostwestfalen complete their studies and training, and later bring their manpower into the region.
Participating high education establishments are Bielefeld University, The University of Paderborn, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, OWL University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Music Detmold. We also offer ongoing student research projects in the areas of Export, IT, HR, Manufacturing, Development and Technology or Accounting. Professional offensive for engineers in OstWestfalen Lippe
BINGO - the professional offensive for engineers in OstWestfalenLippe- came about from the association OWL MASCHINENBAU e.V. and symbolises qualified, experience-oriented provision of professional information for young people in technical professions.
The engineering and technology sector in Ostwestfalen Lippe is the biggest driver of growth in the region. BINGO aims to highlight these highly attractive career opportunities in smaller regional companies. BINGO thus reaches young people using creative and unconventional methods. The BINGO experience days, where schools and companies collaborate, are key. Students get to know the regional companies and discover the wealth of different careers in practical exercises, in workshops and in intensive discussions with local employees. We support the project and are always delight when participants visit us.
Since 2004, the BINGO campaign days have been portrayed in collaboration with Filmhaus Bielefeld e.V. Fantastic short films are regularly made showing engineering and the companies from the curious perspective of the students. The second film within POS TUNING was made this year, and we are excited to see the result.
Further information about the project is available from BINGO at: www.bingo-owl.de
Sponsorship in the region
POS Audi sponsorship Supporting young people in sport is close to our heart, and so we support our local sport clubs, for example with perimeter advertising, advertising on programmes or on football shirts. Among the teams we currently sponsor is the Ladies-Pool of the Bad Salzuflen 1st ladies handball team. Our staff are often there on the sidelines at games to cheer on the girls from the 3rd division. We also support SV Werl Aspe and the Mini-Kickers. We even have our own company team that plays at football tournaments. TC Bad Salzuflen
e.V. (tennis) and SC Bad Salzuflen e.V. (floorball) are other local teams that we sponsor.
The word ‘TUNING’ in our name says it all: motor sport excites us. We are therefore the Official Premium Partner of Dominik Peitz who is this year racing in the Audi Sport TT Cup 2015. 6 events – 12 races - 24 cars – the car manufacturer’s own race series as part of the DTM programme, promises thrilling racing and a mix of young talent and prominent guest entrants. We’ll be cheering along, and have our fingers crossed for our driver.
